DDA Stenographer Eligibility Criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria for DDA Stenographer is set under the following parameters:
  • Nationality
  • Age Limit
  • Educational Qualification

The details regarding each of these parameters are as given below.

DDA Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

A candidate should be
  • Citizen of Indian or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st of January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A person who is of Indian origin has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling down in India.
 

DDA Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Candidates between 18 to 30 years of age are eligible to apply for DDA Stenographer Exam. There is relaxation in upper age limit provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories. The details are as given below.

Up to 40 years of age (45 years for SC/ST, 43 years for OBC)

For Group A Posts

 

Ex-Servicemen 

Upper age limit shall be relaxed by the length of Military Service increased by 03 Years in the case of Ex-servicemen and commissioned officers including ECOs/ SSCOs  

For Group B & C Posts

 

Ex-Servicemen (UR/GEN) 

03 Years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date for receipt of application. 

Ex-Servicemen (OBC)

06 years (3 years + 3 Years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the Closing date for receipt of application 

Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST)

08 years (3 yr + 5 yr) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the Closing date for receipt of application.

Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not re-married

Up to the age of 35 years (up to 40 yrs for SC/ST & 38 for OBC)  

 

DDA Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed class 12 to be eligible for DDA Stenographer Exam.  Dictation 10 min at the speed of 80 w.p.m. Transcription-(only on computer) 50 min (English) 65 min (Hindi) is highly preferred. Preference will be given to such persons who have acquired a Diploma in Office Management & Secretarial Practice from any recognized institution. 

DDA Stenographer Eligibility Criteria: Number of Attempts

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for DDA Stenographer Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many times as they want provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
