The General Studies and CSAT papers will make up the preliminary examination (Civil Services Aptitude Test). There will be a total of 4 papers in the Mains Exam, 3 of which are required. The last paper, which the candidate must select, is optional. Below is a list of all the subjects that will be included in the 2022 Haryana Civil Services Exam.

Haryana Civil Services Exam Pattern 2022
Preliminary Exam
The preliminary examination is the first stage of the HPSC Civil Services Selection Process. The preliminary examination is easy as per the reviews of the students. However, the candidates can refer to the Haryana Civil Services Rules for the exam as below:
- The questions asked in the examination will be objective in nature.
- A total of two papers will be asked in the pre-examination,
- The duration to complete each paper asked in the preliminary exam will be 2 hours.
- 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Mains Exam
- The HPSC Civil Services main examination will also be held offline in the pen and paper mode.
- There are four papers in the mains examination of HPSC. While the three viz English, Hindi and General Studies will be compulsory for all. The candidate will have to choose his optional paper out of the 29 subjects provided in the subject list.
- The questions asked in the examination will be conventional and subjective in nature,

Interview
The interview is the last stage of the HPSC Civil Services 2022 Selection Process. Only those candidates who qualify the Mains examination with a high score are called to the interview stage. According to the official notification the interview assesses the personality, communication skills and overall mentality of the candidate.
As per the Haryana Civil Services Rules, the interview round carries a total of 75 marks. The interview will judge the candidate’s personality, his oratory skills etc in this stage. The final merit list that is prepared by the HPSC is made by combining the marks of the interview and Mains exam.
What is the marking scheme for the Haryana Civil Services Exam Pattern?
The marking scheme of the written examination for both the papers includes adding 1 mark for every correct answer while there is no provision of negative marking in the written test of Haryana PSC exam 2022.
How many subjects are asked in the Haryana Civil Services 2021 written examination?
The selection process is divided majorly into three levels viz preliminary, mains and interview. The preliminary examination has 2 papers that are compulsory. While the mains examination has a total of 5 papers. Out of the 5 papers 3 are compulsory while 2 are optional in nature.
How many questions will be asked in the Haryana Civil Services written examination? What is the duration of the written examination?
The number of questions asked in the preliminary written examination of the Haryana PSC accounts for 100 marks while for the mains exam it is 600 marks. The duration of the examination is different for both the levels. In the prelims test the candidates get 2 hour to complete each paper while in mains the candidate gets 3 hour to complete each paper.
