The Institute of Banking Personnel (IBPS) has announced the IBPS SO 2022 Exam dates for Specialist Officer Posts. The selection will be done through 3 stages – Prelims, Main Exam, and Interview round.

IBPS SO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS SO eligibility criteria differ for recruiting applicants to various roles for which candidates are chosen through the IBPS SO 2022 Exam. To be qualified for the IBPS SO 2022 Exam, a candidate must meet three criteria (citizenship, age limit, and educational qualification).

 

The candidate who is going to apply for IBPS SO 2022 exam should have citizenship of India issued by the government of India. The following candidates can also apply for the IBPS SO 2022 exam:

  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee, who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • Persons migrated from India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, along with the certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.
Citizenship Criteria • A resident of India
• A subject of Nepal
• Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1st January 1962 and have planned to settle in India permanently
• A subject of Indian Origin migrated from Burma, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Namibia, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Vietnam
 

IBPS SO Educational Qualifications

IBPS SO recruits candidates for various posts like that of I.T. Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law Officer, HR/Personnel Officer, Marketing Officer etc. The educational qualification is different for all these different posts.

5. HR/Personnel Officer (Scale I) Graduate and Full Time Post Graduate Degree or Full time Diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relation/ HR/ HRD/ Social Work/ Labour Law
6. Marketing Officer (Scale I) Graduate and Full-Time MMS (Marketing)/ MBA (Marketing)/Full time PGDBA/ PGDBM with specialization in Marketing
 

IBPS SO Age Limit 

To be eligible for the IBPS SO exam, a candidate must be at least 20 years old. The maximum age restriction is 30. The Government of India provides age relaxation to candidates from reserved groups. The following table details the age relaxation granted to candidates for IBPS SO per category:

 

  • The age of the applicant must range from anywhere between 20 to 30 years

  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per category and is given in the table below:

IBPS SO 2022 Exam Pattern

IBPS will be following the below-detailed exam pattern for shortlisting eligible candidates for IBPS SO 2022 Exam. The previous year, IBPS introduced separate sectional timing for each section in the preliminary exam. Let's have a look at the revised IBPS SO Exam Pattern.

The preliminary exam will be a qualifying phase for the mains and candidates will have to meet the cut-offs of prelims to be eligible to appear for the Mains exam.

IBPS SO 2022 Prelims Exam Pattern: There are two patterns for IBPS SO prelims examination for different posts. There is a sectional cut-off and candidates have to clear all the sections in order to clear the preliminary exam of IBPS SO 2022.

For the post of IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer:

IBPS SO Exam Cut Off 2022

The IBPS SO Cut Off 2022 will be released after each phase of the examination has been conducted. The cut-off for the IBPS SO preliminary exam will be released first followed by the cut-off for the main exam.
