Important Question from chapter 3 : The Story of Indian Democracy

Q- Write an essay on the ways that the Indian Constitution touches peoples’ everyday life, drawing upon different examples.
A-
 • The Indian constitution has provided us with a democratic framework. Democracy is a government that is run by, for, and for the people. It isn't simply about political liberty or economic and social equality. It's also about granting equal rights to everyone, regardless of caste, creed, ethnicity, or gender.
•Secularism is enshrined in the Indian constitution. We respect all religions, and all Indians have the fundamental right to practise their chosen religion. Minority communities in India have equal rights under the Indian constitution, which includes amicable relationships and many forms of support.
•India is a welfare state and a patronising society, according to sociologists. It is our responsibility to safeguard public and national property. We all have an equal opportunity to make the greatest use of resources and contribute to economic development. All people of India are guaranteed social, political, and economic fairness and equality under the Indian constitution. As a result, it is our responsibility to assist the government in carrying out government programmes such as population control, smallpox, malaria, and pulse polio. Food Security Bill, Right to Information (RTI), Right to Education (RTE) and efforts for women empowerment are few major efforts made by the government to strengthen Indian democracy.
