Romil Barthwal is the perfect example of an exemplanary life characterised by focus, dedication and going beyond ordinary.
Currently the CEO of India's top high altitude mountaineering company, Boots and Crampons, Lt.
Col.
Romil Barthwal is himself an adventurer and army veteran.
Some of the feet he has accomplished include Boston Marathon, first & course record holder in the non-Ladakhi category in 111 km, one of the most difficult high altitude ultramarathon from Sumur to Leh via khardungla pass (at height of 3500m)- La Ultra.
He was also runner up in the 24th New Delhi Stadium run doing 185 km.
Besides having adorned Morron Beret for 22 years ( a privilege only available to the elite special forces) he has led 10 major mountaineering expeditions including the one to Mount Everest.
Rtd Lt Col Romil Barthwal is an alumina of colleges like National Defence Academy, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Lucknow. He is B.Sc., B.Tech (Electronics) and M.Tech in the same from IIT Madaras- where he has published research papers in reputed journals. While in management course he didn't settle for anything but the best- he is a trophy winner there too.
A soldier turned CEO is now and then taking out time from his busy schedule to motivate and inspire people who want to push their limits, go beyond their comfort zone and achieve that only few can. He often inspires and encourages people who wish to take up mountaineering peaks.
