Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
is an organisation of the Government of India commissioned to recruit employees for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.SSC CGL stands for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination and is conducted by the commission for graduates who have just passed their Bachelor's exam from university.

Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics,During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service.Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; Or Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
All other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification
A candidate must be either:
a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal,or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to the above mentioned categories shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of

Q. Can candidates who are in the final year of their Graduation apply for the SSC CGL exam?
A. Yes candidates in the final year of graduation can apply for the posts but they have to present their bachelor’s degree at the time of document verification.
Q. How many times can a candidate appear for the SSC CGL exam?
A. There is no limit to the number of attempts allowed for Combined Graduate Level Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam till they fulfil the maximum age limit allowed by the commission.
