The Union Public Service Commission conducts Combined Defence Service Examination twice every year to recruit eligible candidates to serve as officers in the Indian Defence Forces. UPSC CDS 1 2021 written exam is scheduled to be held on 7th February, 2021. Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the SSB Interview to be finally selected.

CDS 1 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality	A candidate must be citizen of India, a subject of Bhutan or Nepal or a Tibettan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962.
Educational Qualifications	Indian Military Academy and Officers' Training Academy: Candidate should be a graduate from a recognised University. Indian Naval Academy: Candidate must have an engineering degree from a recognised University/Institute. Air Force Academy: Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised University, with Maths and Physics in class 12 or should be a gradute in engineering.
Age Limit	Indian Military Academy- 19-24 Years of Age Officers' Training Academy- 19-25 Years of Age Indian Naval Academy- 19-22 Years of Age Air Force Academy- 19-23 Years of Age
Marital Status	Indian Military Academy- Unmarried Indian Naval Academy- Unmarried Air Force Academy- Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)- Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Course for Men)- Unmarried

CDS 1 2021 Exam Pattern

Written Exam:
For Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy candidates are asked questions from English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics, however for candidates applying for Officers' Training Academy candidates have to only answer questions from English and General Knowledge. Interview: Candidates who clear the written exam have to appear for a interview, where the Intelligence and Personality of the candidates is tested.

CDS 1 2021 Syllabus
The questions in the written exam are asked from English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics as per the Exam Pattern. The questions are elementary. The questions are of class 12 and graduation level. To know about CDS 1 2021 Syllabus is detail.
