Who founded Indian Home Rule League in 1916 at Poona
The Indian Home rule league was founded by Bal Gangadhar Tilak in April 1916 at Poona and its area of operation was confined to Maharashtra, Karrnataka, Bihar and Central Province.The objectives of this league were- a) To establish self- government. b) To build up an agitation for home rule by promoting political education and discussion. c) To build the confidence of the Indians against the suppression of the British government and to create an alternative movement to break the existing state of stagnation and the inertia. d) To revive the political activity on their own while maintaining the principles of congress.
