Which is the brightest planet in the solar system?
As you might have guessed, Venus has the highest albedo of any major planet in our solar system. Venus is brightest at what's called greatest illuminated extent, or greatest brilliancy. It happens when Venus is relatively near Earth, and when telescopes show it in a crescent phase, like a tiny crescent moon.
