State one advantage and one disadvantage of corrosion.
Advantage. In some metals a protective layer is formed on its surface due to corrosion which prevent it from further corrosion. Example, Aluminium (Al) forms a layer of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) by corrosion. This layer prevents further corrosion of aluminium. Disadvantage: Loss of the metal.
