Taxonomic hierarchy: The different levels of hierarchy are based on the different categories. The correct hierarchical arrangement of taxonomic categories in ascending order is from the lowest to the highest level of hierarchy. Species → Genus → Family → Order → Class → Phylum → Kingdom- Here (a) represents the correct sequence. In the case of (b) the species is followed by genus which is the opposite of how it must be.
