State one oppressive feature of Rowlatt Act ?
It allowed detention of political prisoners without trial for two years.
Rowlatt Act was introduced in year 1919 which gave immense power to the government to arrest and imprison any suspect without trial. Most importantly due to this act Gandhiji called for satyagraha movement
Due to Rowlatt Act Britishers provided detention to Indians in Jail if accused for a reason without a trial in court for 2 years.
