What is the ‘right of inheritance’ ? What are its consequences ?
(1) Under the ‘right of inheritance’ the land is divided among successive generations. (2) Its consequences are as mentioned below : Land-holding size becomes small and uneconomical. The farmers take maximum output from the limited land in the absence of alternative source of livelihood. There is enormous pressure on agricultural land.
