Since then the Hornbill Festival is celebrated by the Nagaland state Government annually. The Hornbill Festival takes its name from the Indian Hornbill bird found abundantly in Nagaland. Indian Hornbill is a colourful bird that is prominently displayed in most folklore of the Nagaland Tribes.
