(iv) What are seasonal breeders? Give an example.
Seasonal breeders are those organisms that breed only during a certain time of the year, if the conditions are favorable. Eg - cows, dogs, horses, pigs and cats. The females of these animals undergo what is known as an oestrus cycle, during which they are open to mating.
