The Treaty of Constantinople or Istanbul was signed on July 13, 1700 between Tsarist Russia and the Ottoman Empire. From 1686 he ended the Russo-Turkish War of 1700. Russian Tsar Peter the Great secured ownership of the Azov region and released his army to participate in the Great Northern War.
