Why do ionic compounds not conduct electricity in solid state but conduct electricity in molten and aqueous state?

Ionic compounds behavior power while molten (liquid) or in aqueous solution (dissolved in water), due to the fact their ions are loose to transport from vicinity to vicinity. Ionic compounds can't behavior power while solid, as their ions are held in constant positions and can't move.
