The vacuoles and lysosomes both are endomembrane structures but differ in the functin as vacuoles perform the function of storage whereas the lysosomes carry out the function of digestion. The lysosome has hydrolytic enzymes and carries out digestion of proteins, carbohydrate and lipids.
