The compound AgF2 is unstable compound. However, if formed, the compound acts as a very strong oxidising agent. Why?

Ag in AgF2​ has +2 oxidation state which is an unstable oxidation state of Ag. When AgF2​ is formed, silver  accepts an electron to form Ag+.  Hence, silver is reduced and AgF2​ acts as a very strong oxidizing agent.
