What do the absolute zero and absolute scale of temperature stand for?
The lowest possible hypothetical temperature of – 273°C at which gas is supposed to have zero volume is called Absolute! zero. Lord Kelvin suggested a new scale of temperature starting with – 273°C and it’s zero. This scale of temperature is called the absolute scale of temperature. Absolute or Kelvin temperature is given by T, where T = t°C + 273 t°C stands for the centigrade scale of temperature.
