Why is the natural system of classification better than the artificial system of classification?
Natural selection studies evolutionary tendencies and phylogeny using all available data, including fossils, in addition to bringing out natural links. It is superior to an artificial classification system for the following reasons: (i) This method reveals organisms' natural relationships. (ii) Only connected organisations of the group are included here. (iii) It prevents the mixing of unrelated organisms. (iv) It depicts the evolutionary relationships and origins of various taxa.
