What do you mean by hemopoiesis?
Hemopoiesis is the formation of new erythrocytes from the Hematopoietic tissue. The hematopoietic tissue is the young fetus in the liver and spleen whereas, in adults, it is the bone marrow of the long bone. The hematopoietic tissue synthesizes millions of RBCs every minute and its excess lot is stored in the spleen.
