Explain the functions of centrosomes?
Centrosomes have the following functions: (a) Centrioles create the basal bodies. (b) They arrange the spindle and produce asters during cell division. (c) They are the source of cilia and flagella. (d) The axial filament or axoneme of the sperm tail is formed by the distal centrioles of sperms.
