What are essential mineral elements?
Mineral elements are often found in soil which may enter into the plants through their roots. More than 60 essential mineral elements of 105 discovered so far occur in different plants. Some accumulate selenium but some others gold. Also, some plants growing near nuclear test sites take up radioactive strontium.
