Gram seed – The outer most covering is divided into two parts, the outer testa and inner tegmen.The is a scare on the seed from which the seed is attached to the fruit, this is called hilum.A small pore is present above the hilum, called micropyle.Inside the seed, it is divided into two parts, known as cotyledons. These are fleshy and full of reserved food.At the end of each cotyledon there is a structure called plumule.
