Explanation G0 or also called quiescent stage, is the stage of the cell cycle where, the cells present are metabolically active, but do not show any activity of proliferation until they are ordered to do so. Some examples of the cells which are present in this stage are heart and nerve cells which reaches maturity. G0 phase is also called extended G1 stage. Multinucleated muscle cells that do not undergo cytokines are also considered to be a part of this stage. Final Answer Cell cycle includes 4 stages called G0, G1, synthesis and G2 stage. Among which G0 or also called quiescent stage, in this stage the cells are metabolically active, but don’t do proliferation until they are told to do so. In this stage no sign of division is seen , nor they are preparing to divide.
