Explanation c) Chiasmata: At the beginning of diplotene phase synaptonemal complex gets dissolved and recombinant homologous chromosomes of the bivalent tends to separate from each other except at the sites of cross over. This leads to formation of X shaped structures i.e. Chiasmata.
