Sino-atrial node is called the pacemaker of our heart. Why?
Sinoatrial node is made of arrhythmic cells that involve the production of the electrical impulse. These impulses activate the functioning of the heart in the process of blood pumping. It is located in the upper part of the heart in the right atrium. The SA node contains mitochondria, myofibrils along with sarcoplasmic reticulum. The sinoatrial nodal artery supplies blood to the SA node.
