Describe the role of liver, lungs and skin in excretion.
Lungs – removes large amounts of CO₂ and certain quantities of water. Liver - bilirubin, biliverdin, cholesterol, degraded steroid hormones, vitamins, drugs and other waste materials are removed through bile. Skin – sweat helps to remove NaCl small amounts of urea, lactic acid whereas sebum from sebaceous glands eliminates substances like sterols, hydrocarbons and waxes.
