Draw a labelled diagram of a Graafian follicle?
Explanation The Graafian follicle is also known as the ovarian follicle. The Graafian follicle is a cavity filled with fluid. It is responsible for providing protection to the developing oocyte in the ovary of a mammal. The oocyte is enclosed by granulosa cells, which secrete fluids into the follicle. After rupturing, the ovarian follicle transforms into the corpus luteum. On being released from the ovarian follicle, the ovum has three layers: oocyte, zona pellucida and corona radiata.
