what is pure translational motion ???
Let us understand translational motion with an example. Imagine rectangular blocks placed on the slanted sides of a right triangle. If the block is assumed to slide down this edge without lateral movement, each point of the rectangular block experiences the same displacement and, more importantly, the spacing between points is also preserved. For pure translational motion, every point on the body experiences the same velocity at all times. Both points P1 and P2 undergo exactly the same motion.
