What is spermatogenesis? Briefly describe the process of spermatogenesis.
Spermatogenesis is the procedure of the manufacturing of sperms from the immature germ cells in males. It takes region in seminiferous tubules gift in the testes. During spermatogenesis, a diploid spermatogonium (male germ cell)will increase its length to shape a diploid number one spermatocyte. This diploid number one spermatocyte undergoes first meiotic department (meiosis I), that is a reductional department to shape same haploid secondary spermatocytes. Each secondary spermatocyte then undergoes 2d meiotic department (meiosis II) to shape same haploid spermatids. Hence, a diploid spermatogonium produces 4 haploid spermatids. These spermatids are converted into spermatozoa (sperm) through the system referred to as spermiogenesis
