Phyllotaxy refers back to the sample or association of leaves at the stem or department of a plant. It is of 3 types, trade, contrary, and whorled phyllotaxy. In exchange phyllotaxy, a unmarried leaf arises from the node of a department. This kind of phyllotaxy is located in the sunflower, mustard, and peepal. Plants with contrary phyllotaxy have leaves springing up from the node in contrary directions. It is determined in guava and jamun plants. Plants with whorled phyllotaxy have 3 or extra leaves springing up from the node. It is determined in Alstonia.
