Why is zinc not extracted from zinc oxide through reduction using CO?

Zinc isn't always extracted from zinc oxide thru discount the usage of CO.   Reducing agent must have extra negative ΔG price. However in gift case, Zn has greater negative ΔG cost then CO, so it can't be decreased via way of means of CO.
