Thecodont is a kind of dentition wherein the tooth are embedded withinside the deep sockets of the jaw bone. Ankylosis is absent and the roots are cylindrical. Examples consist of dwelling crocodilians and mammals. Diphyodont is a form of dentition wherein successive units of tooth are evolved all through the life of the organism. The first set of tooth is deciduous and the opposite set is everlasting. The deciduous set of tooth is changed via way of means of the everlasting adult tooth. Thistype of dentition may be visible in humans.
