Inthe human coronary heart, contraction is initiated through a unique changed coronary heart muscle called sinoatrial node. It is placed in the proper atrium. The SA node has the inherent energy of producing a wave of contraction and controlling the coronary heart beat. Hence, it's far referred to as the pacemaker. Since the coronary heart beat is initiated through the SA node and the impulse of contraction originates withinside the coronary heart itself, the human coronary heart is called myogenic. The hearts of vertebrates and molluscs also are myogenic.
