By looking at which internal structure of a plant can you tell whether a plant is C3 or C4? Explain.
The leaves of C4 plant life have a unique anatomy referred to as Kranz anatomy. This makes them special from C3 flora. Special cells, referred to as bundle-sheath cells, surround the vascular bundles. These cells have a big wide variety of chloroplasts. They are thick-walled and haven't any intercellular spaces. They also are impervious to gaseous exchange. All those anatomical functions assist save you photorespiration in C4 flora, thereby growing their capacity to photosynthesise.
