Option A) The sea mammal Dugong is found in the Gulf of Mannar biosphere reserve. It feeds on sea grasses like Halodule uninervis which occur in abundance in the waters around the Krusadai and Shingle islands and off the coast of Mandapam. Gulf of Mannar is the first Marine Biosphere Reserve not only in India, but also in south and Southeast Asia.
