Option D) Unlike cells of animals and other eukaryotes, bacterial cells do not contain a nucleus and rarely harbour membrane-bound organelles. Bacteria are prokaryotes, which, by definition, are cells that don’t possess membrane-bound organelles. Mitochondria are membrane-bound organelles.
