Correct option is D) Electric field E=−drdV​ordr∝E1​ i.e., equipotential surfaces are closer in regions of large electric fields compared to regions of lower electric field. At sharp edges of a conductor, charge density is more. Therefore electric field is stronger. Hence equipotential surfaces are more crowded
