Work function of the metal is 4.2 eV; Given: λ=330nm. The energy of incident photon is given by, E=hc/λ E=330×10−96.63×10−34×3×108 E=6×10−19J or 3.79eV E is less than work function. Hence, no photoelectric emission will take place.
