Mention any four important characteristics of the genetic code.
Genetic codon has the following important features:- Each codon is a triplet consisting of three bases. Each codon codes for only one amino acid i.e. – unambiguous. Some amino acids are coded and more than one codon is said to be degenerative. Codons are read in a continuous manner in direction & have no punctuation.
