Excess use of herbicides pesticides etc. has resulted in the selection of resistant varieties on a much lesser time scale. The same is true for antibiotic or drug-resistant microbes. Examples of pesticides are- Aldrin, Methomyl, and examples of herbicides are Acetochlor, Dinosep.
