There are no unpaired electrons in the electronic arrangement of Zn2 + (3d10)Zn2 + (3d10) salts. The presence of an unpaired electron in metal ions allows for electron transition in the visible range. This is why Zn2 + Zn2 + ion salts are white in colour.
