Explain why 1° amines have higher boiling points than 2° amines which in turn, are higher boiling than 3° amines.

Because primary amines have replacement hydrogen atoms that are accessible for hydrogen bonding, they have a higher boiling point than tertiary amines. The boiling point of tertiary amine rises due to hydrogen bonding because more heat is required to break these hydrogen bonds.
