The three perspectives of diversity at the level of community and ecosystem are: Alpha diversity Beta diversity and Gamma diversity. 1. Alpha diversity: It refers to the diversity of organisms sharing the same community. It has been found that there is an increase in diversity with a decrease in latitude. 2. Beta diversity: The rate of replacement of species along a gradient of habitat or communities is called beta diversity. 3. Gamma diversity: It is the rate at which additional species are found as a replacement in different localities of the same habitat.
