Parthenocarpy is the production and development of seedless fruits without pollination and fertilisation. Parthenocarpic fruits are normal. Example: Banana, Pineapple, Guava, Grapes, etc. Apomixis is the mode of reproduction which does not involve the formation of zygote through gametic fusion. Example: Some species of grass.
