The second law of motion states:     A) Every object will move in a uniform motion when a net force is applied.B) The rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the net force applied on the object in the direction of net force.C) Every object will remain at rest or in a state of uniform motion unless compelled to change its slate by the action of a net force.D)  The rate of change of speed of a body will change with the net force applied.

Newton's second law is a quantitative description of the changes that a force can produce on the motion of a body. It states that the time rate of change of the momentum of a body is equal in both magnitude and direction to the force imposed on it.
