How does River Ganga forms large meanders?

The bending of rivers due to deposition of sediments and silt is called meandering. Ganga is one of the longest rivers in India and engaged in high erosional activity. When silt and sediment deposition occurs at a large level, the river Ganga can't move straight and forms large meanders in plains.
