If p(x) = x3 + 3x2 – 2x + 4, then find the value of p(2) + p(-2) – P(0).

Solution: Here, p(x) = x3+ 3x2 – 2x + 4 Now, p(2) = 23 + 3(2)2 – 2(2) + 4 = 8 + 12 – 4 + 4 = 20 p(-2) = (-2)3 + 3(-2)2 – 21 – 2) + 4 = 8 + 12 + 4 + 4 = 12 and p(0) = 0 + 0 – 0 + 4 = 4 ∴ p(2) + p(-2) – p(0) = 20 + 12 – 4 = 28.
